Professor Mo Ray

Researcher

Mo Ray qualified as a social worker in 1990 and specialised in practice with older people, working as a social worker, care manager and Team Manager.  Following the successful completion of her part-time PhD, Mo was a tutor for the Open University and worked on a variety of research and development projects.  She was an ESRC Research Fellow based at Keele University and subsequently became a full-time lecturer in Social Work.  Mo was promoted to Senior Lecturer and in 2014 was awarded a personal Chair.

Mo has extensive experience in social work programme management, learning and teaching and research and scholarship.  Her research has focused on social work with older people, social gerontology and health and social care.  She has written, developed and delivered a range of CPD courses in ageing/social gerontology and dementia.  Mo joined the University of Lincoln in September 2016 as Professor of Health and Social Care Integration and Research Director for the School of Health and Social Care.
