Slowly, the seeds of strength grow

The idea and imagery of growth stood out as a key point in the research and work of Roger Bretherton. I initially noticed the repeated use of sapling imagery in his presentations and wanted to somehow explore the aspects of growth and nature in my art piece, while also encompassing the links between character strengths and mindfulness practice. I decided to create some sculptural seeds that slowly grow and flourish alongside the spoken word poem, created in collaboration with Roger.
