Naomi Jackson

Artist

Naomi Jackson is a Fine Art student in her second year at the University of Lincoln. Whilst exploring various forms throughout her degree, such as sculpture installation, video art, and painting, she has a particular passion for oil painting and portraiture, exploring the female figure in relation to nature.

Her research further delves into a feminist exploration of the body in art, which developed into a specialist interest in the representation of women in Pre-Raphaelite art. Her creative process is inspired by the contemporary discourse around intersectionality and marginalised people, as well as by reflecting on how it has been interpreted by art history.

For Creative Reactions 2021, artist Naomi Jackson worked with researcher Prof Mo Ray
